Mtandao wa Vikundi vya Wakulima na Wafugaji Mkoa wa Arusha, abbreviated as MVIWAARUSHA, is catering for five district councils of Meru, Arusha DC, Karatu, Longido Monduli and Ngorongoro district.
MVIWAARUSHA is membership organization with a purpose of: Strengthening farmers’ groups; Mobilization of farmers’ groups to form and/or join farmers’ networks; Facilitation of communication between district networks; local networks, farmers’ groups various institutions and other relevant organizations; and Bringing about changes of ideas and knowledge, skills and experience on farming and livestock keeping activities.
The main purpose of the network is to improve communication amongst farmers’ groups in order to enhance the participation of small-scale farmers in planning, implementation or supervision of social, economic and understanding of political processes as well as raise their voice.
